An interactive digital workshop that inspired artists in Bangladesh, Nepal, India, and the US to use the most recent research on bias as a generative place for self reflection, community building, and theater making.
Weaving together childhood fairytales, the stories of our community, and found-object puppetry artists in Bangladesh, Nepal, India, and the US developed shared stories that crossed boarders, cultures, and set the stage for dynamic conversations about the importance of global diversity.
Peace Waves creates a responsive network that supports dialog and collaboration between young people, media, education, and civil society organizations to promote peace. Peace champions from 3 different countries post the workshop return to their own communities to build responsive networks for coordinated action cultivating strong voices for building peace at home.
Combining community building, storytelling, performance techniques, and digital media to address sensitive human rights issues, the video content developed throughout this workshop is being shared widely across India and in settings around the globe, to prompt conversation and action that can lead to an end to human trafficking and all forms of gender-based violence.

Voices of Now
Empowering young people to tell their stories, Arena Stage’s core education program expands internationally under the leadership of Community Engagement Partnership Manager Raymond O. Caldwell. Ensembles are developed in partnership with the US Department of State in Croatia, Peru, and six different cities throughout India.
